These practice-oriented sessions highlight topics that are currently impacting the downstream segment (EPC, Development, Installation) and outline most compelling business trends, opportunities and challenges on a country specific level. Firas Al-Abduwani PhD, Founder and CEO of HTC (Hussam Technology Company). HTC is a pioneering Telecom System Integrator and Renewable Energy EPC delivering many firsts in the Oman market. These include Oman’s first AER-compliant grid connected solar PV plant, Oman’s first bi-facial solar plant and Oman’s first single-axis tracker project.

Shukri Halaby

Shukri has been active in renewable energy since 2009 with involvement in micro and MW scale project installation and development across the MENA markets. As COO for Mustakbal clean tech, Shukri supports the organization in project delivery and expansion. He has over 20 years experience in EPC and project development.

Hilal Al Ghaithi

Hilal Al Ghaithi holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energy & Power Systems Management from the City University London (2015) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University (2001). He joined the Authority for Public Services Regulation in 2006 as a Regulatory Engineer. In 2018 he was appointed to the position of Director of Customer Affairs in April 2018
