Add to Calendar

This webinar powered by Development Finance International (DFI) and the International Battery and Energy Storage Alliance (IBESA) will provide attendees from within the BESS Industry with know-how on how to pursue and win IFI business. The IFIs (International Financial Institutions), including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ABD), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the African Development Bank (AfDB), are driving investment and policy relating to the clean energy and sustainability agendas in emerging markets. As part of this commitment, they have committed $175B in climate financing through 2025, and funding for this priority area is expected to grow significantly over the next decade.

BESS will play a critical role in the IFI’s efforts to support modern and resilient energy grids. With surging demand for grid-scale BESS solutions, the IFIs have already catalyzed $10B of funding for BESS projects across 40 countries. In addition, the IFIs have launched initiatives such as the World Bank’s Energy Storage Partnership to promote collaboration with industry leaders to replicate and scale international best practices.
